1)     In Education and Learning Sector

The advance of ict enables to use oft distance teaching process(e-learning).the process using as telephone,computer,internet,and email.

E –learning is also understood as a form of web-based learning that can be accessed from intranet in a local network or the internet. The materials don’t have to be distributes online , offline distribution is DVD/CD medium. Then have got that we can study anywhere wherever they are.

Also many student have “cyber teaching”is done by using a teaching with a web camera. Also that we face to face.

2)     Medical and Health Sector

Information in medical and health sector like a problem false in medical. ICT can give a health education for optimally and therefore increases public participation in implementing the policies in health/medical sector.

3)     Trading Business World

Nowadays,the advance of ICT has urged the business people to apply electronic trading system (e-commerce) is trading by using the internet communication network. That be an online sale,service offer,etc. So with that we can buy a textbook,toys or even your favourite food trough the internet leaving your house .

4)     Banking Sector

In the bank we interaction with a customer of bank between people is getting easier to do. The internet banking service and Short Message Service (SMS) in the banking sector shows how strong in the business nowadays.

Internet banking is a banking service done with internet. The service enables costumer to do a transaction use a internet. We checking,money transfer,and bill payment in ATM(Automatic Teller Machine). Facility for taht to deposit money.

SMS banking is a banking service done by texting. Is enable to transaction with a message. Example like account checking , money transfer , and bill payment.

5)     In Governmental Sector

In the government has been helping to develope a new way in giving public service. Government service is in this electronis is e-government. E-government is the use of information technology by government( Wide Area N etwork,internet and mobile computing) to transform the connection with public ,business world, and interested parties. Advantages of government is:

Ø  Giving a better service for public, information can be provided 24 hours,7 days a week, without having to wait for office hours.

Ø  Increasing the relationship among government, businessmen,and public. There is transparency hope the relationship among parties can better.

Ø  Educating public by giving accessible for information. With that public will learn to decide their choice.

Ø  Making governmental implementation more efficient. Ex. Coordination can be done by email or even video conferencing.

6)     In Overcoming Natural Disaster

In overcoming natural disaster such as flood,earthquake,landslide,etc. ICT plays an important role,especially in giving immediate warning to people about natural disaster,so that risk of disaster can be minimized, such as the member of the victim and the early rescue of property. ICT equipments can be used in overcoming these naturel disaster are telephone,cellphone , fax, radio, television, the internet, and other existing communication media.

7)     In Industries and Manufactures

Information and communication technology is very helpful for industries, planning a new product can be very easy with a design program such as Computer Aided Design(CAD). A wanted product can be designed in a quick, easy way with high rate of accuracy,such as to draw a design. While taking a long process if using the manual way, it only takes a while with CAD program(such as AutoCad). This program can even give a real form of a car design , seen in various angles(three dimensions).

In production sector , a robot is use that controlled by a computer using a program called Computer Numerical Control (CNN). The use of robot is very helpful in terms of speed, accuracy, and the amount of product resulted.

8)     In Agriculture Sector

The increase of agriculture crops can be done using ICT. The dunging in a big farm can be done by using a camera-equipped plane.

Using the camera,data about soil condition can be seen. This data is then analyzed by computer to examine the water and mineral content inside the soil. From the result, the need of fertilizer for the land can be decided. Therefore, dunging can be done precisely.

9)     In Transportation Sector

Information and communication technology holds a big role in transportation, land, sea, or air transportation. These transportation activities cannot be separated from the use of Information of Information and Commmunication Technology. The implementation of ICT in transportation activitiy is very helpful for the smoothness, security, and comfort of transportation user and people.

For land transportation in big cities, the condition of traffic is supported by the utilization of traffic light. Computer can handle the color changing of the traffic light based on the condition around. It applies the same way with train to decide which railway track should be passed to reduce accident.

Besides, the invention of GPS (Global Positioning System) has been very helpful for drivers on land to show direction or location of place and the driver’s position.

For sea transportation, ship’s navigation is assisted with the presence of computer and navigation satellite. With these gadgets, direction and destination of a ship can be determined precisely. Besides, computer and satellite can also give information about the safe weather for sea trip.

Air transportation needs computer’s assistance. On plane, the presence of computer system in cockpit helps pilot a lot. This system helps pilot to control the plane’s steering, decide plane’s position, control speed, the availability of fuel, even to detect weather that can endanger the flight earlier. For air traffic in airport, computer system helps a plane to take off and to land.

The Internet is a network of computers connected internationally and spread throughout the world. This network includes millions of computers connected plane with one another by utilizing telephone network (both wired and electromagnetic waves). In line with the times, the progress of Internet technology is also advancing. Currently, the website reaches millions, maybe even trillions, it includes a variety of topics. Of course, these sites become a source of information either positive or negative. Positive to say if the information is useful for penelitiaan. Below are described the impact of positive and negative effects of Internet usage.

Positive Impact:
1. Internet as a medium of communication, is a function of the Internet’s most widely used in which every Internet user can communicate with other users from around the world.
2. Media data exchange, using email, newsgroups, ftp and www (world wide web – a network web sites) of Internet users worldwide can exchange information quickly and cheaply.
3. Media to seek information or data, the Internet’s rapid growth, making the www as one important source of information and accurate.
4. Ease of obtaining information on the internet so people know what happened.
5. Can be used as a land information for education, culture, etc.
6. Ease of transacting and doing business in the field of trade, so no need to go to the place bid / sale.

Negative Impact
1. Pornography
Assumption which says that the Internet is identical to pornography, it is not wrong. With the ability to deliver information owned by the internet, pornography merajalela.Untuk anticipate any of this, the manufacturers ‘browsers’ complete their program with the ability to choose the type of home page which can be found online akses.Di images of pornography and violence can resulted in urge to someone for a criminal act.
2. Violence and Gore
Cruelty and sadism are also many. Because the business side and fill in the Internet world is not limited to, the site owners use all sorts of ways to ‘sell’ their site. One of them is by showing things that are taboo.
3. Fraud
This is indeed rampant in any field. Internet was not spared from attacks by fraudsters. The best way is to ignore it or confirm the information you find on the provider of such information.

Because of its ‘real time’ (immediately), how to shop using credit cards is probably the most common ways that the internet world. Internet criminals even the most committed crimes in this field.
