transportation in big cities, the condition of traffic is supported by the
utilization of traffic light. Computer can handle the color changing of the
traffic light based on the condition around. It applies the same way with train
to decide which railway track should be passed to reduce accident.
Besides, the
invention of GPS (Global Positioning System) has been very helpful for drivers
on land to show direction or location of place and the driver’s position.
For sea
transportation, ship’s navigation is assisted with the presence of computer and
navigation satellite. With these gadgets, direction and destination of a ship
can be determined precisely. Besides, computer and satellite can also give
information about the safe weather for sea trip.
Air
transportation needs computer’s assistance. On plane, the presence of computer
system in cockpit helps pilot a lot. This system helps pilot to control the
plane’s steering, decide plane’s position, control speed, the availability of
fuel, even to detect weather that can endanger the flight earlier. For air
traffic in airport, computer system helps a plane to take off and to land.
